Suspect Dornisha Ray Arrested in Baton Rouge Highway Shooting Incident

The Baton Rouge Police Department apprehended a suspect following a reported highway shooting on Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on the southbound lane of I-110 near Capital Access. Police determined that 25-year-old Dornisha Ray was a passenger in a vehicle that was sideswiped on the highway. Following the collision, Ray allegedly fired multiple shots at the other vehicle involved.

The passenger of the other vehicle sustained injuries from the gunfire and was transported to a local hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Ray has since been arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, and aggravated criminal damage to property.

The investigation is ongoing.
